KEY QUOTES from this story:

I don't know the plan that I become a translator or whatever. He knows me. He brought me from rubbish.

When I went to school, I didn't really learn very much... Hunting and sometimes stealing, petrol sniffing. The first thing that I was telling myself, I was just nobody.

One time I went to the revival. I went and I was watching where they were worshiping God. I went and joined with them and somehow God touches me and I feel something.

Jesus was there. He was waving to me, "come".

I just raised my hands and I knelt down. I changed my life that time.

I started to follow Yurranydjil to the Bible Translation Centre. I didn't know much about English or my language, Yolŋu Matha. So she prayed for me. God gave me a clear understanding. God changed my life, and I became a Bible translator. I could do my own translation work, my own language.

I can read in Djambarrpuyngu; I can read in my language. That's the miracle.

My favourite scripture is from Psalm 27... The Lord is my light and my salvation.

I believe that God is real because I have seen His miracle.

he made me confident to talk to anyone, even in a crowd, or how to share the Word of God in the church or in fellowship

I like God very much and I want to work for him because he changed my life and gave me a heavenly wisdom, a clear understanding: how to read and how to write or even to speak in English. To be a good man, to stand as a leader for God.

A sniffer. A stealer. Don't know where I'm going. I am praising God. I just love him. He changed my whole life!

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
   whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 27v1
